Great pictures no text

Used to use older versions of macleans app on an iPad 1 and was happy with them. Stopped using an ipad for about a year. Just got a new iPad retina display. Magazines downloaded when I open them the pages show in thumbnails fine but when I open a page just pictures with no captions and black space where the articles should be. Come on macleans stop hiring laid off rim employees if you dont want to go backwards in technology. Oh yeah and thanks the refund on my cancelled print subscription will help pay for the new iPad.
