Needs improvement

Nice dark design, but there are a few problems that need to be fixed: sometimes the "back" button stops functioning, forcing a full restart of the app; iPad needs landscape functionality for better reading and viewing of the magazine.

Annoying of sorts

Why wont the app change to landscape on the I pad? I dont know many people who read their iPads holding it right anymore. So havent explored much cause I hate reading sideways. Thats my one and only suggestion - that the app follows the orientation of the device.

Terrible app

App has gotten progressively worse. Would only open after several attempts now wont open at all.

Cannot read on 2nd Device

When I renewed on iTunes, I lost the ability to read on second device. Neither iTunes or Macleans can resolve the problem. Do not renew on iTunes. Go directly to the magazine.

Keeps crashing

I really dislike the new version. I have to try multiple times before I can actually open the app. Not always successful. Cant read my magazine when I want. What a waste of money!

Crashing after update

Latest update is now crashing back to home screen when I attempt to log in to my account.

Crashes out everytime since latest update. If they dont fix it soonest, I want my money back!!!!

Endless frustration

Have tried to sign in to this app for the last 3 weeks - no luck at any time. "Helpful" tech support suggest I reboot my iPad, ensure my iOS is updated, and my personal favourite - "wait a few hours and try again". Well, guess what? Its not me, and its not my iPad - its your damned app!! (See the other reviews too). So... How about you stop sending users off to waste their time trying things that dont work, and fix it instead!!

App is totally useless

I have a digital subscription only and this app will not open. It keeps crashing back to home screen every time. My OS is up to date, I have closed all other apps and have rebooted. This app needs fixing. If its not I will be asking for my money back. Right now this app is useless.

Havent been able to use for over a month now. Have been renewing this subscription for years....they will be off this list!

Not working

iPad Pro all up to date. Macleans app not working. How about a fix? Frozen on cover. If you tap on it - pops to a page somewhere in the distance. No navigation within the magazine possible.

App will not launch/crashes

App will not launch, brings up startup logo, stalls for 30 sec then reverts to home screen. Updated to Aug 16 version...same thing. iOS up to date. Please fix ASAP.

I dont have access to the magazine but my subscription doesnt end until September 16. Please help.

Frustrated Reader

Aug 20, 2016 You promised that the latest update fixed the issue with the app crashing. WRONG! Latest version has major problems! Right now, the app crashes and wont open until Ive tried multiple times. VERY frustrating! When I do finally get in, I cant tell at a glance which issues have been downloaded for offline reading. I have to open each issue one at a time to see if its downloaded or in the cloud. On the plus side, thanks for making more pages available to enlarged text feature for easier reading.

Wont start

The app is okay once it actually loads. Unfortunately I frequently have to reopen it 3, 4 and 11 times to try to get it to finally open. Once it does it always reverts back to the home screen instead of remaining on the last article I read. Before flights or other situations where wifi will no longer be available Im desperately attempting different ways of loading the application including reopening it, closing it and restarting it as well as hard rebooting my iPad. My iOS is all up to date. The only reason I use the application is to read the magazine, I question the thought process behind adding its "daily" feature as I feel this simply bogs down the application. As someone who only subscribes to the electronic magazine I find this incredibly frustrating.

Got help from Apple

Aug. 9/16....just got off the phone with Apple support and I can now open the magazine. Had to delete then reinstall the app. Thanks to Apple Support. Sept. 23/16...maybe the next update could add a continue reading option so I dont have to guess which pages Ive read when I go back to reading the magazine

The Font is too small

I read 90% of the weekly magazine New Scientist on my iPod 5. I would do the same with Macleans but the font is too damn small. Instead I read Macleans on the my iPad by Zooming in and out on each page...a pain in the ...
