Another update, worse again. Font size blew up to oversize on my iPad. Still loses my place most times I reopen the app. Hopelessly bad. Get a six year old to fix the app.

Latest updates made it worse. Doesnt remember where I let off. Keeps showing me the latest magazine, or daily updates. I just want to read sequentially.

The layout is good and I got used to it quickly for basic reading. But then the paginated articles became continuous, portrait mode changed to landscape, I had to flick in various directions within frames. Too many different controls. It became a bit confusing knowing how to navigate. Sometimes get trapped on a page or within a control. Reign in the developers. Simplify the controls.
I wrote the following to send to their support email but they had changed or deleted the account!
I am a print subscriber but use the iPad almost exclusively. The app has some very clever design in it and generally works well. I have some suggestions that would improve it further.
1. Accessibility: the app ignores iPad accessibility settings for font size and contrast. It does allow some pinch zooming but it works in only some pages. For example, in a paginated article, it may allow pinch zoom on the first and last pages but not the middle ones, or vice versa, or all pages. I havent detected a pattern for when it will or wont allow zoom. The ability to increase font size should be available everywhere.
2. I should be able to set a larger default font size for the app (all issues and articles) instead of having to zoom each page of each article.
3. When the font is zoomed, I must shrink the font before I can swipe to another page. Should not be required.
4. Confusing or unclear controls when there are horizontal scrolling pictures on a page. In general there are too many swipe and tap controls that work slightly differently.
5. When there is an auto slide show on a page and the pictures have titles, the pictures change too fast to read the titles. Interesting challenge to try to read and assemble three titles in pieces as they scroll by repeatedly.
